Changing Lives, One Dog at a Time
Meet Our Heroes
At
Dylan’s Dogs for Diabetes (D³), every child we help has a unique story of courage, resilience, and hope. These incredible kids and their diabetic alert dogs (DADs) are the heart of our mission. Your support makes it possible for us to provide life-saving companions to children with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).
Every donation brings a child closer to safety, independence, and a brighter future.

Cash and Luna
Cash’s mom says, “Cash is 7 years old and in the 2nd grade. He was first diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes (T1D) at the age of 6. The month of September will make it a year in the diabetic journey for Cash and our family.
He has been a superhero about it all. He is definitely a T1D warrior! He never complains. Yes, he gets tired of all the glucose checks and shots, but he handles it way better than I could have ever imagined he would.
We are pursuing Diabetic Alert Dog (DAD) for many reasons, one of them being he is VERY active outdoors type of boy. He loves to ride his bicycle, play outside, climb trees, and anything else you think of that can be done outdoors.
Luna is meant to be on our diabetes team and helping keep our Cash safe. She will be able to run along with him everywhere he goes. Luna will be able to alert Cash when it's time for him to take a break and check his glucose levels. Luna will be a huge blessing to Cash in many ways.
As a mom I want absolute best care for my son, keeping him as safe as possible. And without a doubt I know Luna is meant to be part of our family.
Vivan
Four years ago today our world changed when our daughter Vivian was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She's strong resilient and faces every day with courage.
We've recently been accepted into a program called Dylan's Dogs for Diabetes. This program is amazing! They provide diabetic alert dogs for kids just like Vivian.
These dogs are incredible. They can detect blood sugar changes 20 to 30 minutes before technology even alerts Vivian to change her blood sugar. This dog will help keep Vivian safe during the night whether she has highs or lows as well as when she's away from us at school or out with her friends.
These service dogs are very expensive. They are not cheap and we never want to burden anyone but if you feel led to give to donate to Vivian so that she can get her dog we would be eternally grateful.
All the funds given are sent directly through Dylan's Dogs for Diabetes.
Paisley and Tracker
Paisley's DCubes most recent client. On the left is a picture of her celebrating her one year diversity as type 1 not Vedic (T one d ).
She is surrounded by array of diabetic supplies she uses constantly on the right is the picture of a typical 4 year old Princess. Paisley has been having some pretty radical blood sugar shifts recently.
Her mom has a new baby but spends more time with Paisley than with the baby because of paisley's blood sugar fluctuations. Paislee has Type 1 diabetes.
She has picked her diabetic alert dog (DAD) or rather Tracker picked his human. She and her parent are attempting to raise funds to complete his training. They make an adorable couple
Laelynn and Luna
Meet DCubed’s newest client, 2-year-old Laelynn. Due to her Type 1 diabetes (T1D), Laelynn experience blood sugar fluctuations, leading to many sleepless nights for her mother. A diabetic alert dog will help monitor her glucose levels, giving a sense of security to Laelynn’s family.
DCubed helped her parents purchase Luna, her diabetic alert dog (DAD). Now, we need you to donate and help Laelynn's parents have Luna trained to sense Laelynn's blood sugar fluctuations. Having the DAD will also help Laelynn's mom sleep better at night and not have to get up every couple of hours to check on Laelynn.
To help other children live healthier, safer lives, like Laelynn, consider donating to
Dylan’s Dogs for Diabetes at DCubed.org.
Grayson and Halo
Grayson is a 12-year old diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Dylan’s Dogs for Diabetes (DCubed) received the donation of a dog from a local breeder, and the dog named Halo was gifted to Grayson as his diabetic alert dog (DAD).
He is now raising funds to train his companion that already plays a vital role in keeping him safe. He is committed to living better with diabetes with Halo at his side.
Lainey and Ella
Elayna (Lainey) loves to spend time playing outside, as well as with her toys. She enjoys going to Sunday school and is passionate about drawing. She was a healthy and happy little girl, until recently being diagnosed with Type One Diabetes.
It is Lainey’s hope to train Ella to alert her to her blood sugar level changes, in order to prevent severe high and low blood sugars.
Diabetic Alert Dogs (DADs) can smell blood sugar changes, often before any kind of glucose monitor recognizes that something is wrong. The dog will smell the chemical change, and alert Lainey by nudging her with her nose.
Ella will even be able to bring Lainey her medical bag with her supplies in it. In a worst-case scenario, Ella can get help for Lainey if she goes unconscious, by barking and getting another person to come help.
By training Ella to alert to these changes, Lainey will have a better chance at managing her diabetes and let her live a less stressful, more healthy life.
Hamilton & Winston
19-year-old Hamilton has successfully obtained his diabetic alert dog, Winston, thanks to support from a "Dylan's Dogs". This partnership aims to provide crucial safety, detecting dangerous blood sugar levels to improve Hamilton's quality of life. Hamilton was able to get his diabetic alert dog, Winston, through the support of many.
As a diabetic alert dog (DAD), Winston is trained to detect high or low blood sugar levels, often using a, "poke" with their nose to alert their owner. These service dogs are crucial for individuals like Hamilton, as they offer early warnings for, "life-threatening" blood sugar changes.
The "Dylan's Dogs" community played a significant role in making this partnership possible, according to the Instagram update.
Dominique and Bowie
Dominique and Bowie are an inspirational duo who have been recognized as a "team of the year" for their incredible teamwork in managing Type 1 diabetes.
Dominique, a dedicated athlete who plays football for the WNFC Atlanta Phoenix and soccer, works alongside her diabetic alert dog, Bowie, to stay healthy and active.
Bowie is a diabetic alert dog that helps Dominique monitor her blood sugar levels, allowing her to live an active life despite her 2016 diagnosis.
They have been highlighted for their “Against All Odds" story, with mentions of being named a "team of the year" for their, "teamwork makes the dream work" approach.
Dominique is an inspiration who doesn't let her diagnosis slow her down, and her bond with Bowie is central to her success.
Phase 2 of Service Dog training
Service Dog Training
Part of what we are working on for Phase 2 of Service Dog training (now that Miles lives with us) is BONDING. Miles needs to become very bonded with Nolan for motivation to alert his low & high blood glucose levels. Playing in the backyard with a million tennis balls is great way for a kid and dog to bond.
