Leonard Adams

Leonard Adams has been both a noncommissioned officer and a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. As an enlisted member of the Armed Forces, he served as a Combat Medic and as a Mental Health Counselor. As a Mental Health Counselor, he performed individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, hospice counseling, and conducted Anger Management classes. After completing his degree in Chemistry (with a focus on Biochemistry), he became a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives Officer.


After serving in the Army, Leonard worked as a counselor for the Department of Corrections in Tennessee, working in a hospital prison, a classification prison, and on Death Row. From there, he became an instructor at the Tennessee Correction Academy, and went on to become Assistant Director of Education of all of the State of Tennessee’s prisons.

Upon moving to Alabama, he began work as a defense contractor, then became a civil servant, which is his current employment.


Besides working for the federal government, Leonard is also a fitness instructor, teaching Les Mills Body Pump™ and Les Mills Body Combat™ at Phaze 3 Fitness in Madison, Alabama; he currently holds the office of President for Redstone Toastmasters; he performs with a popular local band named Juice; and he is the author of Things I Wish My Father Had Told Me, a mentoring guide for those who have no one whom they feel comfortable asking questions.
